After Effects Experimentation: Week 1

I'm doing these little animations based on what we learned in the class in my motion class. So I'm going to be uploading them =]

For this week's class, I had to do an animation using the simple shapes that after effects offers...

So, I posted this video in several sites, trying to find the best quality. Youtube is just bad. blip.tv let's you upload the real size of the video (re-sized here) and Vimeo is really good, I like the frame rate and good quality.

wins by far! no ugly video player hanging at the bottom too, youtube one is a joke. but i think i read somewhere that you do something to a youtube link so you can watch the original video the uploader had uploaded, like it doesnt downgrade the quality. But I don't think it works for embedding, i think it only works when youre on the actual youtube site.

damm, the blip.tv video actually looks way better when I go full screen though. Hmm. But would people really watch this video full screen?

hmmm...

what was the original resolution?

Because vimeo does offer full res h.264 support... so does YouTube (if you pay for it)...

the best solution is to output a 720p or 1080p clip from your AE comp as mpeg-2, h.264. this clip can be directly imported to flash 9. Then just upload that to your favorite server.

This is how you can maintain the "HD" resolution all the way to the end...

I hope this helps...
